Caledonian MacBrayne – Annual Report and Accounts
The project consisted of case studies and landscape shots from Stornaway on the Isle of Lewis down to Campbelltown on the Kintyre peninsula. With imagery taken over the course of three weeks, avoiding the worst of the weather, the project gave me a first hand insight into this 24/7 operation providing a service to tourists visiting our incredible country and more importantly a lifeline to many of our remote rural communities.
Caledonian MacBrayne has a long history stretching back more than 160 years. Its name is synonymous with the west coast of Scotland, providing vital lifeline ferry services and carrying millions of people each year to and from the islands and remote peninsular communities. It has been, and remains a major local employer, both on shore and at sea.
