Castle of Mey

A flying visit but incredible journey along the East coast of Scotland to photograph the staff and environment at the Castle of Mey. The former holiday home of the late Queen Mother is the most northerly castle on the British mainland.

The castle and gardens overlooks the dramatic cliffs over the Pentland Firth on Orkney. It is rumoured that HRH The Prince of Wales has a soft spot for the original fixtures and fittings in the castle and refuses to replace the fridge in the kitchens which has been at the castle since the 1950’s.
