RIPE92

As the not-for-profit Regional Internet Registry for Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia, RIPE serves more than 20,000 members across 76 countries.

Their biannual RIPE Meetings bring together Internet service providers, network operators, infrastructure specialists and industry leaders from around the world to discuss the future of the Internet and the technologies that support it.

RIPE92 was held in Edinburgh over five days, attracting hundreds of delegates for a packed programme of presentations, panel discussions, workshops, networking events and social activities. As the event photographer for the conference, my role was to document the energy, collaboration and expertise that make these international gatherings so valuable.

Conference photography presents a unique challenge. It's about far more than simply photographing speakers on stage. The aim is to capture the atmosphere of the event, the interaction between delegates and the moments of engagement that happen both inside and outside the conference sessions. From keynote presentations and panel discussions to networking opportunities and informal conversations, every image helps tell the story of the event.

The resulting collection of images provides RIPE with a comprehensive visual record of the conference that can be used across marketing, communications, social media, annual reports and future event promotion.

As an experienced conference and event photographer, I regularly work with organisations, associations and corporate clients to create professional event photography that captures both the content and the character of their events. Whether it's a multi-day international conference, corporate meeting, industry exhibition or networking event, my focus is always on producing authentic, high-quality imagery that reflects the experience of those attending.
